The five stage process used by Numberz Financial Management is listed below. You can use any stage on its own, in combination or in succession over time - you choose where you feel you need more help.
Stage 1
Measurement
The collection of data - chiefly through the accounting system. We need to make sure we are collecting all data that we can that is useful and will be used.
Stage 2
Reporting
Collating the data and compiling into a useful format for presentation
Stage 3
Analysis
Explanation and interpretation of the reported information in order to draw conclusions which can be used to improve and/or frow the business.
Stage 4
Modelling
Building up a picture of the business which can be used for forward projections (budgets, forecasts, cashflows). Business plans and feasibility models for new business can also be built with similar data (although based on assumptions where actual data isn't available).
Stage 5
Advisory
Operational and strategic oversight and independent advice on the business. This may take the form of a directorship, consultancy or other advisory capacity as suitable.
